Made from a heavyweight 8 oz cotton twill flannel, the Axel is durable enough to be your outdoor work shirt yet, with fabric brushed both inside and out, it’s soft and easy enough for city life. We’ve sewn the shirt from a yarn-dyed plaid grid then overdyed the finished garment in our Heritage Wash for a worn-in and slightly faded look.
Metal snap closures make for an easy on / easy off top layer. The contrast denim fabric in deep indigo adds an extra workwear touch, appearing at the left pocket, inside sleeve cuffs and half-moon back neck collar stand.

Wanted something a little thicker for the cold, the shirt jacket is perfect. I’m tall and fit so I usually get an XL for the length but usually have to get the sides taken in, but this fits perfect, 6’3”, 170lbs. Love the black flannel, would love more actual black items too! Not washes or faded or charcoal, but black like this!

This is a perfect shirt jacket with excellent craftsmanship. For me, it is great to layer over a lightweight button down shirt and I can either wear it open or button it down and use as extra layer under jacket in cold weather. The midnight flannel plaid is my favorite color. Overall, super satisfied with this product.
