I was looking for a decent all around lightweight jacket to throw on for work/casual situations, but also something I could beat the crap out of. I searched high and low and came across this jacket from Rowan that seemed to check the boxes due to heavier weight cotton and sturdy zipper.
I’m 5’9 170lbs, broader shoulder build. I usually wear medium in bomber/trucker jackets but had to size down to S for this one. The torso is a little long on the jacket but other than that it fits great. My favorite feature is the deep front double pockets, super useful for carrying the daily essentials in.

Of all the jackets I have, this is by far the best. Not because it's new, but because of the fit, material and construction. I can wear this jacket with anything. I can dress it up, or I can dress it down. I get a lot of great compliments on it. I like to look different from everyone else. I like to create my own style.
As a note: I am 5'-7" with a 44" chest. I typically wear sizes medium to a large, depending on the cut. I initially purchased a size medium. The medium was a little too big. I returned it for a small. The small is perfect.
My decision for changing sizes is that I do not plan to wear anything bulky like a sweater or sweatshirt. It is still loose enough as I have room to move around in.
You cannot go wrong with Rowan apparel. The quality, style and fit are far above similar products.

I never had a jacket that was cut like this. The fitted feel and the quality of the fabric makes this jacket a timeless classic. Worth every penny and my son who is 1 now will inherit this jacket when he's old enough to fit into it.
